Your business is your legacy. Your team is your family.
Most owners never plan for what comes next.
of U.S. businesses with employees are owned by someone 55 or older.1
of small-business owners have no formal succession plan.2
of businesses listed for sale never find a buyer.3
Without a plan, these decisions tend to get made for you.
The name you spent decades building, run by someone who doesn't know what it stands for.
The people who've counted on you for years, left wondering what comes next.
A lifetime of work that sells for less than it's worth, or never sells at all.
When health, burnout or a lost customer forces the decision, retirement waits.
Second Stream Ventures
You'll get to know me through the whole process. I'm the buyer and the person who runs the business every day, and it's the only company I'll run.
I've spent my career building and leading teams in small companies and large ones. I'll be on site, working alongside your people to help the business grow.
No fund rules decide what the deal has to look like. Valuation, structure and how you step back can be built around what matters to you.
I'm buying a company to own and build, not to resell. Decisions get made for the health of the business over years, not quarters.

Who you'd be talking to
I'm an operator and entrepreneur who has spent my career building and leading teams across industries and company stages: a startup, a public company, and most recently a specialty construction business built from the ground up here in New York.
Along the way I've grown revenue while protecting margins, managed field crews and office staff side by side, and worked with people at every stage of their careers, from first jobs to senior leaders. I've also been on both sides of an acquisition: inside companies that were bought, and leading the team that did the buying.
I lead from the front, and no job is too big or too small. I listen before I act. That's how I'd step into your business: learn how it works and why, then help the people who built it take it further.
Outside of work, my time belongs to my two daughters, Clara and Stella, born a year and five days apart. With both under two, hobbies are on hold for now.

Questions owners ask
That's where most of my conversations start. A first call is just a conversation, and plenty end with "not yet." That's fine.
No. There's no listing and no marketing package, and I won't contact your employees, customers or vendors.
Not until you decide to. When the time comes, I'll help you plan how and when to tell your team.
Your team is a big part of why a business like yours is worth buying. My plan is to keep them and build with them.
If you want to. Some owners step away quickly and others stay on for a while. We'll shape the transition around what you want.
Mostly on its earnings history, its customers and how it runs. I'll walk you through how I get to a number, so there are no surprises.
With my own capital alongside bank financing and, where it makes sense, outside investors. I'll be upfront about how a deal would be funded.
I do. You'll deal directly with me from the first call through closing.
Fifteen minutes, no obligation. Pick a time that works for you, or reach me directly.
